2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information necessary to provide and maintain the ClauseMint (“the Service”).

a) Information You Provide

When you use the Service to draft, analyze, or rewrite contracts, you may enter document text, including names, company information, contact details, contractual terms, and other content (“User Content”).

This information is processed solely to provide contract drafting, risk analysis, and rewriting functionality.

b) Payment and Subscription Information

We collect billing details such as your name, subscription status, transaction information, and payment method details. Payment processing is handled securely by Apple and other authorized payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

c) Usage and Technical Data

We collect limited technical data such as device type, app version, and usage analytics to improve performance and functionality. This information does not include the content of your contracts.

3. USE OF THIRD-PARTY AI SERVICES

ClauseMint uses a third-party artificial intelligence processing provider to generate contract drafts, analyze clauses, and provide risk explanations.

When you submit document text for drafting, analysis, or rewriting, your User Content is securely transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C.

The data transmitted may include:

Names and company information entered by you

Other content voluntarily submitted within the document

This data is transmitted solely for the purpose of processing your request and generating the requested output.

ClauseMint does not sell personal data.

ClauseMint does not use submitted contract content for advertising or profiling purposes.

ClauseMint does not use User Content for machine learning training purposes.

ClauseMint does not retain submitted contract content on its own servers. User Content is transmitted only at your request for AI processing and is not stored by ClauseMint after processing is complete.

The AI processing provider is contractually obligated to provide data protection and security standards equal to or greater than those described in this Policy.

All data transmitted to the AI processing provider is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.

4. STORAGE OF USER CONTENT

User-generated contract documents are stored locally on your device.

ClauseMint does not upload, store, or maintain copies of your saved documents on our servers.

Documents remain on your device unless you explicitly submit text for AI drafting, analysis, or rewriting. In those cases, only the specific content you submit is securely transmitted to our third-party AI processing provider for the purpose of generating the requested output.

You may delete saved documents at any time from within the App. Once deleted, documents are permanently removed from the App’s local storage on your device.

ClauseMint does not access, review, or use stored documents except when processing AI requests initiated by you.

5. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the ClauseMint and its services. This includes processing payments, managing subscriptions, and handling billing and renewal activities. Your payment details are used solely for completing transactions and are processed securely through our payment provider.

We may use your data to communicate important updates about your subscription, respond to inquiries, and send necessary service-related notices. Analytics data helps us understand usage patterns to enhance the App’s functionality and user experience.

We use User Content exclusively to provide contract drafting, clause analysis, and risk assessment services. Content submitted for AI processing is used only to generate the requested output and is not used to create user profiles or for independent commercial purposes.
